Amazing place with free wi-fi, a car park, and a good breakfast. The staff helped me find a great local delivery on my first stay, which I still remember. I recommend trying the buffet! I'm coming back for a city break.

Request a room away from the entrance for a quieter stay, especially if you're a light sleeper.

The breakfast was good and there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The shower was disappointing and the room felt small and stuffy. It's decent for a short stay, especially for work-related visits.

Leaving to go home
We had problems from when we arrived, we were in a large group due to a local family wedding but there was a mix up with rooms, other people's credit card details were given out to the wrong person. We tried to speak to the Manager who wasn't interested as trying to explain to the Receptionist was hard work as her English was very poor and she couldn't understand what we were trying to say. We chose the hotel initially as it stated a late bar licence which wasnt the case, the bar was closed when we arrived late afternoon and again when we arrived back from the wedding reception. The garden was lovely as was the breakfast but thats about it. The room was so small that had our daughter been with us, we wouldnt have been able to fit her travel cot in the room with us (and the kettle had a permanent place on the floor as there was no where else for them to put it)!

Stayed for 2 nights but we had to check out of one room and check into another room in the morning which was very inconvenient. They had not informed us of this and only told us one hour after it was too late to cancel and refused to cancel the booking for just one night, very rude staff that don't want to help the situation. We travel a lot and this was by far the worst hotel we have stayed at simply because of the standard of the rooms for what you pay and also the lack of help and rudeness from staff.
